If the files are complete URLs, i.e. http://myfiles.zyx/videoFile.mp4 then you can run the command in Terminal from any writable directory provided you have FFmpeg installed on your computer. If the files are local to your computer, i.e. myFile.mp4 then you will need to make sure you run the command in Terminal from the directory where the file is located.
